The company npi electronic GmbH develops, produces and sells measurement equipment for use in the life sciences (especially physiological and pharmacological basic research).
npi electronic GmbH was founded in 1989. The beginnings are dated in the early 80s. During the diploma thesis of H. R. Polder (Technical University Munich, 1984, made at the Max-Planck-Institute for Psychiatry) a new compensating method for amplifiers for intracellular measurement was developed. Together with control theory approaches it was possible to increase the measuring range a lot. On the basis of this process, existing intracellular measurement procedures could be improved enormously. Thus, today we can offer highly sophisticated current- and voltage clamp amplifiers with one or two electrodes for nervous tissues as well as for oocytes and muscle cells.
Our knowledge and experience in capacitance compensation and control circuits let us develop ultra fast iontophoresis systems, temperature controllers and signal processing devices. This portfolio was expanded by systems for substance application (superfusion), micromanipulators, recording chambers and supported by a comfortable software for data acquisition and complete experiment control.
We combine modern electronics and control theory and make them available for researchers in the booming field of life sciences. Our instruments offer speed and precision, with designs that can adapt and expand to the demanding requirements of tomorrow.
